ITW/Hobart Ground Power

Hobart Brothers Company acquired Trilectron Industries of Palmetto, Fl, from the parent company Heico Corporation. Hobart is a subsidiary of Illinois Tool Works Inc., Glenview, Il, USA. ITW is a diversified multinational manufacturer of highly engineered components, assemblies and systems. The Company consists of more than 500 decentralized operations in 40 countries and employs approximately 53,000 employees worldwide.

Trilectron Industries and Hobart Ground Power will be operated as separate business units with existing management teams in place. Trilectron is geared to bring its considerable talents to the ground support business of Hobart Ground Power.

Hobart, Trilectron and AXA Power design and manufacture technologically advanced 400 Hz and 28 Volt DC Ground Power, Pre-Conditioned Air Systems, Jet Air-start Equipment, Combination Equipment and accessories for the Commercial and Military aviation markets world-wide.

AIR - A - PLANE

Trilectron acquired all rights to Air-A-Plane who has been an industry leader in the design and manufacture of aircraft ground support mobile and fixed air conditioning systems for over 50 years. The newly formed Air-A-Plane Products Division will continue to manufacture and support the Air-A-Plane product line.

The Air-A-Plane division will complement Trilectron's strong line of equipment and will allow Trilectron to improve its product quality. Trilectron Industries and the Air-A-Plane Products Division are committed to meet all existing customer needs.

AXA Power

Illinois Tool Works has acquired AXA Power A/S, Inc. Hobart Brothers Company Ground Power Division located in Troy, Ohio led the acquisition.

AXA Power is the offshoot of The Akerman Group, a family owned Danish industrial group, with its own research, development and production departments. Axel Akerman A/S was founded in 1924 and has over the years developed from a small electrical workshop into a modern company producing various kinds of electro-technical equipment, including solid-state GPUs. AXA Power A/S is capable of taking over the design, production and sales of the highly advanced solid-state GPUs.

This provides a flexible production system, which can be readily reorganized to meet specific requirements of customers. Custom tailored design is an important part of AXA Power's policy.
